Bio
“I consider that my experience as a Cultural manager led me to understand social processes in a profound way, including questioning the participation that communities have in the projects currently developed in my country.
That led me to develop Theater and Community, a project that I am part of as general director of the process and that has a relevant characteristic within the experiences that we currently know in Latin America, and that is that communities live a process hand in hand with performing arts professionals. Formative and then a process of assembly and premiere of works that they themselves participate in their co-creation both in the dramaturgy and in the stage proposals, costumes and those of each character. It is a project that brings together 4 different communities that work simultaneously.
This project will complete its third year of development in 2024 and has results that are abysmal in terms of the growth of performing communities, aware of a growing cultural capital of the arts in areas where there are relevant access barriers.
It encourages the participation of different people, from different professions and life experiences, boys, girls, adolescents, young adults and older people. It is also a completely inclusive project that opens the process to neurodivergent communities.
In addition, this project provides a relevant source of employment for art workers, being a contribution to the professional development of each person who is in the work team”.
