Bio
“For the Diálogo Espectadores space of the Cultural Center of Spain in Costa Rica, where I designed methodologies and generated theatrical mediation experiences, to create bridges between spectators and the shows or scenic-theatrical staging. Through the mediation spaces, I proposed forms of participation with the spectators, where spaces for reflection and deepening were opened from practice, based on the experience of the spectators during the stage-theatrical coexistence.
In the design of methodological strategies, I sought to propose axes of reflection based on each work we attended, and to generate activities that would enhance reflections from various levels: emotional-sensory; critical reflection and aesthetic, content and technical connections based on the dialogue that they could also establish with the people of the creative teams of each show. However, my most important goal was to primarily stimulate viewer participation. Participation did not necessarily focus on the creative team of the works, but on the figure of the spectator and my role was to mediate, stimulate, not set possible readings or meanings of the works.
The Diálogo Espectadores space of the Cultural Center of Spain in Costa Rica sought to stimulate dialogue between spectators and the theatrical works of the medium. For which a call was opened for those who wanted to be part of the space to register and once being part, attend an x number of works that were selected from the space. This allowed participants to have tickets at a more affordable price and then participate in the Diálogo Espectadores space with the team of each performance. In addition, they had the possibility of holding theater criticism workshops with several national and international guests.
I have also explored creative forms of mediation, activation of archives. Where spectator-participants have even been able to create new works or creative experiences, based on the first experience with the work that they have had in the theater or in a gallery”.
