Spectator invited to the II edition of the Congress. Creator of Poéticas teatrales en Buenos Aires.

Bio

“Within the framework of the cultural offer of the City of Buenos Aires, my project tries to fill a vacancy linked to the absence of spaces that address theater in an instance that goes beyond scenic praxis. For this reason, the objectives of Theatrical Poetics in Buenos Aires are aimed at reflecting and critically analyzing Buenos Aires theater in a space suitable for all young people and adults, regardless of their educational and work paths. It provides conceptual tools that allow us to systematize, historicize and produce aesthetic categories, taking the works within a poetic group and not as isolated works.
Likewise, the Workshop space does not require that the works to be discussed have been seen, but rather seeks to replace them from other observational angles through various clues (dramatic texts, images, trailers, interviews, theatrical treatises, set plans, etc.). This methodology forces the spectator to experiment and place themselves in the role of the researcher, to open their vision of analysis and to expand their role as spectator beyond attending the theater.
The Workshop seeks to value the spectator experience, since, although the works have not been seen, the possibility arises that traces of other stagings could be rescued due to the inevitable artistic influences found in the Buenos Aires billboard. Underlying this context is the idea that the spectator is capable of taking as reference stage procedures, fictional universes, acting styles and acting works from other works that he has already attended. In turn, this dynamic generates a space for spectator socialization that allows us to get away from the program proposed by the Workshop, opening horizons and enriching us all.
Finally, the Workshop aims to encourage students to go to the theater and get them into the habit of taking notes about what they saw. Also, it encourages tracing poetic paths, whether authorial, thematic and/or formal, giving continuity to the Workshop’s proposal”.
