“Marabunta is a cultural work cooperative that manages and promotes the meeting, development, appreciation and training between new spectators (communities and groups) and theater artists in the region, since 2017, based in the city of Corrientes, a province located in the northeast of Argentina.
It develops, in a self-managed manner, actions in theatrical and unconventional spaces, with the intention that various groups, which encounter barriers to access to the enjoyment and right to art, can actively participate.
In each experience, the welcome is carried out, with contextualization of the space and show attended, in addition to the presentation of the attendees, and after the work, the mediation in the discussion, debate, between artists and spectators.
It works by emphasizing the possible cultural accessibility measures that can be applied and advises theater casts and independent cultural spaces on them.
It permanently investigates audiences and communities with cultural workers from across the region, in order to map and reflect to develop new approach strategies”.
